July: The lynx continues hunting, providing for itself and its young.

Virtually harmless. Avoids human contact. Hunted in Canada and northern US states. Fur used for warm clothing and accessories. Meat consumed in traditional North American indigenous cuisine.
Prefers coniferous forests and swampy areas. Main diet – snowshoe hare and small rodents. Active at dusk and night.

Best hunting time is late fall and winter. Track movement by footprints in snow. Be prepared for long waits in ambush.
