Rarely attacks humans. Dangerous only when provoked. Trophy hunting in mountainous regions of South America. Fur used for traditional clothing and rituals. Meat considered a delicacy in some local cultures.
Inhabits the Andes at elevations up to 4000 meters. Feeds on berries, fruits, insects, and small animals. Mostly active at dusk and night.

1. Cut meat into large pieces, brown until golden crust forms.
2. Add onion, garlic, tomatoes, spices and braise for 3-4 hours.

2. Roast at 160°C for about 3 hours, basting occasionally.
