Not recommended for consumption. Requires caution when consumed due to interaction with alcohol. Used in folk medicine and cuisine with restrictions.
Grows on rich soils, meadows, and forest edges. Cap is white, quickly dissolves releasing black liquid.
Collect on rich organic soils, meadows, and forest edges from spring to autumn Choose young mushrooms with firm white caps
Harvest before cap dissolves and releases black ink-like liquid. Do not consume with alcohol due to toxicity.
Clean dirt with a soft brush. Do not wash to avoid wateriness. Not used in cooking.

1. Clean and slice caps.
2. Quickly fry in oil until golden.
3. Salt and serve without alcohol.
Common Ink Cap Soup (Boiling)
Use only young mushrooms; exclude alcohol from diet
1. Slice mushrooms and add to broth.
2. Boil for 15 minutes.
3. Season and serve.
