Safe. In China, pear symbolizes longevity and prosperity. Used in traditional medicine to strengthen respiratory health.
Deciduous tree or shrub with rounded crown. Fruits are round, large, with crunchy flesh.
Grows in East Asia, in orchards and wild Harvest fruits in autumn when ripe
Pick fruits when skin turns yellowish and firm flesh slightly crunches. Best harvested before first frosts.
Store in cool place, can keep fresh for long time. Suitable for fresh eating, drying, and compotes. Suitable for desserts and compotes.
