Perennial herbaceous plant up to 2 meters tall with large toothed leaves and umbrella-shaped inflorescences.. Blooms in summer, fruits ripen in autumn.. Grows in moist, shady places, along riverbanks and in forests..
Harvest roots in autumn when the plant accumulates maximum beneficial compounds. Collect seeds and leaves during flowering in summer.
Dig roots carefully without damage.. Collect seeds after full ripening..
Clean roots from soil, wash and dry in shade at 35-40°C.. Dry leaves and seeds separately, avoiding direct sunlight.. Roots used as spice and medicine.
Angelica root infusion (Infusing)
Tonic and anti-inflammatory drink
1. Grind dried roots (1 tbsp).
2. Pour 250 ml boiling water, infuse for 20 minutes.
3. Strain and take 1/3 cup 3 times a day.
Spicy sauce with angelica seeds (Cooking)
Aromatic sauce with a slight bitterness
1. Roast angelica seeds on dry pan until fragrant.
2. Grind and mix with honey and lemon juice.
3. Use as sauce for meat and vegetables.
Angelica leaf tea (Brewing)
Calming and refreshing drink
1. Pour 1 tsp dried leaves with 250 ml boiling water.
2. Infuse for 10 minutes, strain.
3. Drink 1 cup twice daily.
Angelica root tincture (Infusing)
Tonic and strengthening tincture
1. Place 50 g crushed roots in 500 ml vodka.
2. Infuse in dark place for 3 weeks, shaking occasionally.
3. Strain and take 20 drops 3 times a day.
